There are five different shank sized OcToBrass™. We install a different receiver depending on which mouthpiece you use. Each OcToBrass is dedicated to specific brass instrument. Only a trumpet mouthpiece works in a trumpet OcToBrass. We make OcToBrass for French Horn, Trumpet, Baritone, small shank Trombone, Euphonium, large shank Trombone and Tuba.

Your OcToBrass Kit comes with one of 16 different light weight Kelly™ Lexan Mouthpieces to match your regular playing rim size. If weight isn't an issue, use the mouthpiece you normally play on. The bottom of your OcToBrass has two thumb holes for reaching two notes above the octive. For musicians new to the 10-hole ocarina, we supply two stick-on buttons to cover these hole (temporarily) until you master the holes on top. :-) We encourage all new OcToBrass™ owners to master the scale and a few tunes (materials supplied) before attempting to buzz a tone in unison or harmony to the tone created by the fipple whistle.
